I walked into this eye center with really high hopes and I'm really sad to say that this was my worst experience I've ever had with an eye doctor and his office. In the beginning of my appointment a tall woman dealt with me. She took me to a room where I had to look into this machine to do an initial test, the woman was not friendly and was very rude actually to me. She seemed as though she didn't want to be there and it made me feel bad initially. She then dilated my eyes which I felt was odd because the actual doctor was first supposed to check my vision with letters and he was supposed to dilate me I felt, but I just went with the flow. I had the thought to leave because I had a bad intuition and it was taking forever for the doctor to come in, but I stayed and I should have listened to my gut. The doctor came in he was very nice at first and he checked my eyes with them being dilated he was having me read letters off the white board. When he got to the bottom line and I guessed the letter my husband said is that a Y or a V. And the doctor said it didn't matter. He declared I was a -6.00 and i was a -5.50 coming into the office. I wasn't shocked I knew my vision changed, I put in a sample of -6.00 in my eye and I knew immediately it was too powerful of a prescription. I told the Dr and he brushed me off and said my eyes are dilated and its my prescription. I mentioned what about a -5.75 and he told me they didn't make -5.75 in contact lenses which I was very confused about and I knew was wrong, he was very rude to me once I told him I felt the prescription was wrong. Basically when I was there I knew the prescription was too high, I left knowing it was wrong, ordered the contacts online received them and their still too high. I get headaches. Also I filled my glasses prescription he gave me with walmart super center since it was cheaper and I got my glasses the other day and their too strong too :( Now this is a mission for me because I have to return the contacts and the glasses and I need a new prescription. I called the doctor and it took them 3 days for me to finally speak to a manager about it and the manager told me they'd only refund me half my money for the contacts exam, and the glasses went through my insurance and their not refunding that because it's the eye doctors time as well. I had to make a claim with my credit card and now i have to make another claim with the insurance company. The worst part about it is that I went on 1800 contacts and they do make -5.75 contact lenses. This doctor has no idea what he's talking about and his practice is horrible save yourself the headache and go somewhere else- anywhere else!!
